The OSHA Occupational Noise Exposure Standard and Hearing Conservation Amendment (29 CFR 1910.95) requires that an employee’s noise exposure be limited and that employees at risk of damage to their hearing be enrolled in an Audiologist/Physician supervised Hearing Conservation Program (HCP). (footnote: Employees may not be exposed to more than an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) of 90 dBA. An HCP must be in place if the 8-hour TWA is 85 dBA or greater) Goforth Audiometrics conducts noise surveys to help ensure your workplace is in compliance with OSHA standards or with any other applicable regulatory standards, such as set forth by the Mine Safety and Health Administration, the Federal Railway Administration, the Department of Transportation, or various international standards.
